Haitians Turn to Canada to Escape Donald Trump’s Deportation Threat

The American president's decision granting one month, starting from March 21, to the beneficiaries of the Biden program to leave U.S. territory is pushing some Haitians to consider Canada as an option for asylum. Radio-Canada reported on Monday that Haitians have started arriving in southern Quebec to request asylum in Canada.
