Fritz Alphonse Jean "Knows the Limits of His Powers... But There Is Concern"

The Presidential Council is now on its third coordinator since March 7. While no members of the CPT spoke out to define the limits of power for the first two coordinators, Edgard Leblanc Fils and Leslie Voltaire, Presidential Advisor Emmanuel Vertilaire was keen to do so for Fritz Alphonse Jean. Sources within the CPT have told Le Nouvelliste that there is concern over how Mr. Jean will lead the council.

Fritz Alphonse Jean is in his first week as head of the Transitional Presidential Council. It is still too early to assess his leadership. "With Fritz Alphonse Jean, there will be continuity within the CPT, although, as an economist, he will bring his own personal touch to the Council’s operations. In the coming weeks, we will see the new dynamic within the CPT under the new coordinator," a CPT member told Le Nouvelliste.
